Hi. I'm Rachel. This is my story.
In Febrary 2022, I read one article about microplastics in tea bags and immediately cleared out my tea cabinet. The real bummer was letting go of my evening ritual of a cup of sleepytime tea before bed.
But then I realized that I could just make it myself...
And so, after a trip to a local health foods store for ingredients, Eden Leaf Tea Co. was born.
What started as an Etsy shop with a single product has blossomed into a line of 13 herbal teas and counting. Every loose-leaf blend is made from 100% organic herbs and is crafted for both great taste and optimal wellness.
Every tea is hand-blended with domestically sourced botanicals and contain absolutely no PFAs, microplastics, or pesticides found in tea bags, or natural or artificial flavors.
We have blends for restful sleep, immune support, stress relief, workout enthusiasts, new and expecting moms, and much more! Just clean, powerful herbs that taste great and are good for you.

Are your teas organic?
Yes! Eden Leaf teas are made with 100% organic and wild crafted herbs. Wild crafted herbs are collected in their wild habitat, while leaving enough plant material so as not to compromise the abundance of the mother plant. We carefully source herbs with an emphasis on quality, purity, and organic growing practices.
Do your teas contain preservatives, additives, or artificial or natural flavors?
No. Our blends are made from whole herbs, flowers, roots, fruits, and spices. All of the taste comes from our organic ingredients. We don't use any natural or artificial flavors.
Where do you source your herbs from? Do you grow your own herbs?
We source all of our herbs from domestic suppliers. Occasionally, those suppliers may source their herbs from international growers, but we prefer to purchase domestically grown herbs whenever we can. All of the herbs that we use in our blends are certified organic or wild crafted. On occasion, we do grow our own organic herbs for specialty blends.
How do I choose a tea for my specific health needs and concerns?

We recommend asking your doctor or health care provider if specific herbs are right for you, and check for any drug interactions with medications that you are currently taking.
Do your teas treat or cure medical conditions?
Our teas are intended to support general wellness and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. They aren't a substitute for medical care or prescribed medications.
Are your teas safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Not all herbs are appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Our pregnancy blend (Blossom & Glow) and lactation support blend (Nest & Nourish), are formulated with herbs that have traditionally been used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. We recommend consulting your healthcare provider before consuming herbal products during pregnancy or while nursing, even when a blend is made from natural ingredients.
Can kids drink Eden Leaf teas?
Murphy's Tea Time is specifically formulated as a child-safe blend.
Some herbs are appropriate for children while others aren't. We recommend checking the individual blend's ingredients and consulting your child's healthcare provider when appropriate.
Does your tea come in tea bags? How do I brew loose leaf tea?
In pursuit of avoiding the microplastics, PFAs and pesticides found in tea bags, all of our blends are all loose-leaf. This means that you get cut and sifted roots, herbs and flowers, resulting in a stronger cup and better flavor.

Can I drink herbal tea iced?
Absolutely! Many Eden Leaf blends make wonderful iced tea. There are multiple ways to make iced tea:
1. Brew strong and long.
Brew your tea slightly stronger and longer than you would for a hot cup (1.5–2x the serving size per 8-12 oz. of water), then pour over ice.
2. Cold brew in the fridge overnight.
In a french press coffee maker, combine the appropriate amount of water and tea directly in the carafe. Place in the fridge overnight, or for 6–12 hours. Press down the filter and enjoy!
3. Sun tea.
Put tea in a cotton tea sachet or stainless steel infuser, and place in a glass pitcher with water. Put the pitcher in the sun for 3–4 hours, then chill.
What is the shelf life of your teas? How should I store my tea?
All of our blends are packed in resealable foil-lined pouches. When stored properly in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture, dried herbal tea is best enjoyed within 1–2 years. While dried herbs don't necessarily spoil immediately after this period, their color, aroma, flavor, and overall quality can gradually decline.
Why don't you sell any black tea or matcha?
Broadly speaking, tea falls into two categories: traditional tea (made from the Camellia sinensis plant) and tisanes. All white, green, oolong, black, and pu erh teas actually come from the same plant! What determines the kind of tea the leaves become is the growing location, harvesting time, and drying process. Traditional teas have very specific brewing requirements and often contain caffeine. Some traditional teas do incorporate herbs or spices for flavor, but the base is always the Camellia sinensis leaf.
Tisanes are made from herbs, flowers, roots, and/or spices–that's us. Herbal teas are very forgiving when it comes to brewing temperature and time, and never contain caffeine. They often focus on health benefits, and have a wide range of flavor profiles. We stick to herbal blends because our focus has always been crafting teas that benefit the body and address specific health concerns.
Do any of your teas contain caffeine?
All Eden Leaf tea blends are herbal and are therefore naturally caffeine-free.
Where are your products manufactured?
All of our teas are blended by hand in small batches in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Are purchases final sale? What is your return policy?
Because our teas are a consumable product, all purchases are final sale. We are unable to accept returns of teas.
Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase! However, if you're not 100% satisfied, please reach out to us through our contact form or via email, and we will work with you to make it right.

Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
